Strength

My favorite word would have to be strength. This word means a lot to me. I do believe your strength determines you as a person. When you are put through challenges throughout your life, you can come out with more strength or less. Those circumstances help a person form who they are. The strongest people have been through hard situations and come out better.

Describing " The Giver": 5 words

The book has a futuristic feel to it. They live in a time that seems to not exist. Another phrase that comes to mind is lack of identity. The people in the utopia are all the same. Being safe is also a huge aspect in the book. Jonas does not know if he should stay where he is and stay safe or go out and search for a life with real potential but also with danger. The Giver gives Jonas a sense of protection. Knowledge is powerful in this book. I feel like Jonas gains a new perspective when receiving the memories.

Friendship and the internet: Best friends

When it comes to friendships and the internet, the two support each other. Many people are now friends due to the internet. I have several friends that have met someone online and they are friends to this day. Having an online profile allows us to leave out that first impression. Also, I feel like our friends encourage us to stay online. When we go to a friends house, we can spend hours on you tube or even on Facebook. It has become a source of entertainment for many of us. I do believe though, that we don't learn to appreciate each other as much as we used to. But overall, I think the internet has helped our friendships.
